Cashiers’ own Jackson county is home to the
first designated “Fly Fishing Trail” in the US.
The Western North Carolina Fly Fishing Trail
features some of the best trout waters in the
Great Smoky Mountains. The Trail takes you to
15 prime spots for Brook, Brown and Rainbow
trout. Whether searching for quantity or size,
open water or small streams, the WNC Fly

Creek, stocked and managed by Trillium. |

Lake Glenville: Crown Jewel of the Mountain Lakes

Just outside your door is Lake Glenville, the
largest lake in the Cashiers-Highlands Plateau.
Explore its 26 miles of secluded shoreline and
pristine clear waters with depths of over 100 feet.
There’s an abundant supply of both Small and
Large Mouth Bass, Walleye, Trout and Bream. |
Deck boat rentals are available on-site at Trillium;
Bass boats may be rented from the local marina. |
